Native networking has landed in layers.

This is the public status record for the Qualia Decentralized Network Fabric and Qualia Peer Runtime. It distinguishes working in-tree code from transition carriers, local-only qualification, and Internet work that requires a real second host or operator.

Read status literally. Local execution, conformance fixtures, and a bounded transition bearer are meaningful achievements. They do not prove a public relay, an Internet two-host path, MASQUE, a native-independent default daemon, a production security review, or deployment certification.

Implemented in tree

Local control plane

  • QDNF connection manager: policy, planner, invitations, durable delivery, and local production-path checks.
  • CSCP v1 local control plane: bounded/fail-closed TLV messages, mailbox, leases, receipt persistence, local bound-UDP, and local rustls WSS ↔ QSession.
  • Local DATAGRAM capsule framing and loopback TLS HTTP/2 Extended CONNECT. These are local proof paths, not Internet MASQUE.
  • Bounded routing, handshake, replication, crash-recovery, and QSR-related native modules exercised through in-tree fixtures.

  • Bounded QCDE-1 signed documents with create, read, update generation, and deactivate paths.
  • Specification vectors, signed-document/git-object checks, canonical caps, and explicit stale-generation handling.
  • CscpMailbox publication into the private mailbox; deactivated documents publish no services.
  • Relay-only policy rejects direct delivery before storage; permitted Direct locators are ranked as Direct, not relayed.

Implemented transition carriers

Useful, not native-independent

  • WireGuard/SocialWebNet overlay remains a labelled IP transition path.
  • TLS WSS and HTTP/2 capsule profiles are transition bearers, not MASQUE or a native QLink bearer.
  • Nym mixnet framing and deterministic loopback carrier encapsulate bounded QFrames and support QSession integration testing.
  • Transition locators remain handles/instrument-plane data, never a natural-person identity claim.

Continuity and authority

A handle is not a human

DNI, hostnames, DNS, relay hints, Nym addresses, and session locators support routing. They do not define a natural person. Revoking or losing a handle closes or holds that handle; it does not erase the person, their history, or an independent local volume.

Open external gates

Some proof cannot be manufactured locally

A public relay needs an operator-controlled, inbound Internet endpoint. CSCP-12 needs a human datatracker submission. Native-independent and security claims need their own platform and independent-review evidence. The project does not substitute a CDN, static site, chain, or simulated loopback for those conditions.
