Native fabric · local and transition slices landed · 0.0.39

A network that does not borrow DNS to know a human.

QDNF is Qualia’s native networking model. Inside a QDNF realm it does not require ARP, IPv6 neighbour discovery, DHCP, DNS, ICANN names, BGP, or a mandatory cloud relay. The Qualia Peer Runtime (QPR) is the library over that fabric — the intended replacement for libp2p, not a wrapper around it.

Honest status: QPR is native and still being built on 0.0.39. This page is a map, not a live packet capture. Locators and DNS names are handles — never the human (NaturalAgent). Law keeps the word person where statutes need it. Ordinary Internet stays a Legacy Internet Gateway. Public Internet relay / MASQUE evidence flags stay false until a second host dials a URL Timothy supplies (CSCP-08 chores wait on that). No invented ticks. The older Network Webizen screen still plays a mock table.

Handle ≠ human. Chrome says human (NaturalAgent). Law keeps the word person where statutes need it.

Protocol honeycomb

Tap a layer for a plain line and a technical line. Escape closes.

What the layers do

QLink
Cryptographic adjacency. Neighbours are proven, not guessed from ARP.
DNI
Self-certifying, expiring topological identifiers — locators / handles, not forever-who from a path.
QRoute
Intra-realm link state and inter-realm path vector.
QResolve
DID / content / resource resolution without DNS-as-who. Optional domain names remain handles only.
QPolicy
Consent, capability, deontic authorization.
QSession / QSync
Encrypted datagrams and streams; signed bounded Q42 / CRDT exchange.

What it is not

  • Not a browser libpcap. GitHub Pages cannot see your NIC.
  • Not identity. Locators, sessions, and instruments stay off the who-plane (Identifier Fabric). Handle revoke ≠ who-erase. Human ≠ legal “person” ≠ bot.
  • Not DNS-as-who. A lost domain must not erase a human from the fabric; domains are optional handles.
  • Not “Solid as the architecture.” Solid LDP remains a federated access surface; QDNF owns naming and routing.
  • Not finished. On 0.0.39: native QPR / CSCP local slices, did:qi mailbox binding, and named transition bearers are in tree. They do not establish a public relay, Internet two-host path, MASQUE, or a Native Independent default daemon. The implementation status records the evidence boundary.

0.0.39 networking — honest ledger

Language only. Flags and workstream boxes are the contract — this honeycomb does not flip them.

Landed

  • QDNF connection manager in-tree (policy, dual-stack planner, invitations, durable delivery) — Internet trial still unexecuted.
  • CSCP local control plane (Wave 0–1): fail-closed TLV codec, mailbox, leases, receipts; loopback bound-UDP; local rustls WSS ↔ QSession.
  • CSCP-09.01/09.02: local DATAGRAM capsules + loopback HTTP/2 Extended CONNECT — not Internet MASQUE.
  • did:qi: signed QCDE-1 lifecycle/vectors, mailbox publication, relay-only refusal, and Direct-permitted selection — not DID Spec Registries.
  • Named transition bearers include WireGuard, TLS WSS, HTTP/2 capsules, and bounded Nym mixnet framing. Transition is not Native Independent.
  • Continuity: handle revoke ≠ who-erase; DNS/ABN/passport optional attach-later handles.

In progress

  • QPR / native fabric depth and qualification beyond local slices, including raw Ethernet, AF_XDP, long-duration churn, and independent review.
  • Parent CSCP-09 on a live Internet path (loopback H2 is not that).
  • Identifier Fabric chrome fold (docs WIP — not a new paper gate).
  • GitHub Pages can publish this status record but cannot supply public-network evidence. Publish path is tag v0.0.39.

Parked

  • CSCP-08 — Internet WSS/MASQUE relay trial waits on a hostname Timothy controls. No invented wss://.
  • CSCP-12 — datatracker submit (author recorded; not posted).
  • Honesty flags stay false: public relay, two-host Internet, MASQUE Internet, noq/QUIC admit.

Continuity

Handle revoke ≠ who-erase

ABN / DNS / passport / registry strings sit on the handle plane only — never NaturalAgent who. Who persists without any state-issued handle. Sanctuary Keep / volumes are independent instruments: locator death must not cascade into who-erase or volume wipe.

Diagnose: handle revoke → held/closed on the locator. The human is already here. Continuity for a jury — not “get a new ABN.” Collapse detector FAIL: treating domain loss as person-deletion. No Host invent. No CSCP-08 tick.

CSCP-08

Local chores. No tick.

CSCP-08 is MASQUE bound-UDP on the public Internet. Status: blocked on a human-supplied inbound URL. This is directions, not a completion claim. A cloud agent cannot be that relay. GitHub Pages, CloudFront, IPFS, a chain, and a ledger are not Gate B.

Do not invent wss://, MASQUE, or /dns4/ locators. Flags stay false: public relay, two-host Internet, MASQUE Internet. CSCP-12 (datatracker) is a different human action.
